Rothesay on "Twa Ferries". Saturday 20th August

A scenic route and two ferry journeys take us to our destination of Rothesay today. We pause in Arrochar to stretch our legs and a refreshment, continuing towards Colintraive for the first of the ferry crossings over to Rhubodach. 
 
Rothesay is a smart Victorian seaside resort and the main town on the east side of Isle of Bute.
This highly accessibly town is very traditional and good looking with signs of its Victorian heritage including a splendid Victorian frontage cradling the romantic Rothesay Bay. 
 
After our time in Rothesay we drive to the ferry terminus for our second sailing of the day across to Wemyss Bay and complete our day trip with the journey home.
